animals not having souls

⁷And then the Lord God formed man from the clay of the earth, and he breathed into his face the breath of life, and man became a living soul.

²⁴God also said, “Let the land produce living souls in their kind: cattle, and animals, and wild beasts of the earth, according to their species.” And so it became.

¹The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, in order to make known to his servants the things that must soon occur, and which he signified by sending his Angel to his servant John;

³⁰and for all the animals of the land, and for all the flying things of the air, and for everything that moves upon the earth and in which there is a living soul, so that they may have these on which to feed.” And so it became.

²¹Who knows if the spirit of the sons of Adam ascend upward, and if the spirit of the beasts descend downward?

¹⁶For God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that all who believe in him may not perish, but may have eternal life. ¹⁷For God did not send his Son into the world, in order to judge the world, but in order that the world may be saved through him.

⁴²So it is also with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown in corruption shall rise to incorruption. ⁴³What is sown in dishonor shall rise to glory. What is sown in weakness shall rise to power. ⁴⁴What is sown with an animal body shall rise with a spiritual body. If there is an animal body, there is also a spiritual one.

¹⁰The just one knows the lives of his beasts. But the inner most parts of the impious are cruel.

²⁰And then God said, “Let the waters produce animals with a living soul, and flying creatures above the earth, under the firmament of heaven.” ²¹And God created the great sea creatures, and everything with a living soul and the ability to move that the waters produced, according to their species, and all the flying creatures, according to their kind. And God saw that it was good.

²⁸And God blessed them, and he said, “Increase and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and the flying creatures of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.”

⁶The wolf will dwell with the lamb; and the leopard will lie down with the kid; the calf and the lion and the sheep will abide together; and a little boy will drive them. ⁷The calf and the bear will feed together; their young ones will rest together. And the lion will eat straw like the ox. ⁸And a breastfeeding infant will play above the lair of the asp. And a child who has been weaned will thrust his hand into the den of the king snake. ⁹They will not harm, and they will not kill, on all my holy mountain. For the earth has been filled with the knowledge of the Lord, like the waters covering the sea.

⁶Let every spirit praise the Lord. Alleluia.

²⁶Consider the birds of the air, how they neither sow, nor reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of much greater value than they are?

⁷Your justice is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are a great abyss. Men and beasts, you will save, O Lord.

⁹“Behold, I will establish my covenant with you, and with your offspring after you, ¹⁰and with every living soul that is with you: as much with the birds as with the cattle and all the animals of the earth that have gone forth from the ark, and with all the wild beasts of the earth.

¹⁸I said in my heart, about the sons of men, that God would test them, and reveal them to be like wild animals.

⁸Whoever does not love, does not know God. For God is love.

⁸And when he had opened the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having stringed instruments, as well as golden bowls full of fragrances, which are the prayers of the saints. ⁹And they were singing a new canticle, saying: “O Lord, you are worthy to receive the book and to open its seals, because you were slain and have redeemed us for God, by your blood, from every tribe and language and people and nation. ¹⁰And you have made us into a kingdom and into priests for our God, and we shall reign over the earth.” ¹¹And I saw, and I heard the voice of many Angels surrounding the throne and the living creatures and the elders, (and their number was thousands of thousands) ¹²saying with a great voice: “The Lamb who was slain is worthy to receive power, and divinity, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.” ¹³And every creature that is in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and all that is within the sea: I heard them all saying: “To the One sitting upon the throne and to the Lamb be blessing, and honor, and glory, and authority, forever and ever.”

¹⁰In his hand is the soul of all the living and the spirit of all the flesh of mankind.

²⁶And he said: “Let us make Man to our image and likeness. And let him rule over the fish of the sea, and the flying creatures of the air, and the wild beasts, and the entire earth, and every animal that moves on the earth.” ²⁷And God created man to his own image; to the image of God he created him; male and female, he created them.

⁵Therefore, all the souls of those who went forth from Jacob’s thigh were seventy. Now Joseph was in Egypt.

³And God said, “Let there be light.” And light became.

²³And may the God of peace himself sanctify you through all things, so that your whole spirit and soul and body may be preserved without blame unto the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁹And from the soil the Lord God produced every tree that was beautiful to behold and pleasant to eat. And even the tree of life was in the midst of Paradise, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

²But the earth was empty and unoccupied, and darknesses were over the face of the abyss; and so the Spirit of God was brought over the waters.

²⁹Are not two sparrows sold for one small coin? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father.

⁷and the dust returns to its earth, from which it was, and the spirit returns to God, who granted it.

¹⁹For this reason, the passing away of man and of beasts is one, and the condition of both is equal. For as a man dies, so also do they die. All things breathe similarly, and man has nothing more than beast; for all these are subject to vanity.

²⁶And he said: “Let us make Man to our image and likeness. And let him rule over the fish of the sea, and the flying creatures of the air, and the wild beasts, and the entire earth, and every animal that moves on the earth.”

²⁰And then God said, “Let the waters produce animals with a living soul, and flying creatures above the earth, under the firmament of heaven.”

¹⁹Do not hand over to beasts the souls that confess to you; and do not forget the souls of your poor until the end.

²⁶And he said: “Let us make Man to our image and likeness. And let him rule over the fish of the sea, and the flying creatures of the air, and the wild beasts, and the entire earth, and every animal that moves on the earth.” ²⁷And God created man to his own image; to the image of God he created him; male and female, he created them. ²⁸And God blessed them, and he said, “Increase and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and the flying creatures of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.” ²⁹And God said: “Behold, I have given you every seed-bearing plant upon the earth, and all the trees that have in themselves the ability to sow their own kind, to be food for you, ³⁰and for all the animals of the land, and for all the flying things of the air, and for everything that moves upon the earth and in which there is a living soul, so that they may have these on which to feed.” And so it became.

¹⁵I will put enmities between you and the woman, between your offspring and her offspring. She will crush your head, and you will lie in wait for her heel.”

⁸So we are confident, and we have the good will to be on a pilgrimage in the body, so as to be present to the Lord.

⁴⁵Just as it was written that the first man, Adam, was made with a living soul, so shall the last Adam be made with a spirit brought back to life.

²⁸And do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. But instead fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell.
