ask

⁷Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you.

²²And all things whatsoever that you shall ask for in prayer: believing, you shall receive.”

⁵But if anyone among you is in need of wisdom, let him petition God, who gives abundantly to all without reproach, and it shall be given to him.

¹³And whatever you shall ask the Father in my name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. ¹⁴If you shall ask anything of me in my name, that I will do.

¹⁴And this is the confidence which we have toward God: that no matter what we shall request, in accord with his will, he hears us. ¹⁵And we know that he hears us, no matter what we request; so we know that we can obtain the things that we request of him.

¹³And whatever you shall ask the Father in my name, that I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

⁷If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, then you may ask for whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.

⁷Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you. ⁸For everyone who asks, receives; and whoever seeks, finds; and to anyone who knocks, it will be opened. ⁹Or what man is there among you, who, if his son were to ask him for bread, would offer him a stone; ¹⁰or if he were to ask him for a fish, would offer him a snake? ¹¹Therefore, if you, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your sons, how much more will your Father, who is in heaven, give good things to those who ask him?

²⁴For this reason, I say to you, all things whatsoever that you ask for when praying: believe that you will receive them, and they will happen for you.

⁹And so I say to you: Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you. ¹⁰For everyone who asks, receives. And whoever seeks, finds. And whoever knocks, it shall be opened to him. ¹¹So then, who among you, if he asks his father for bread, he would give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he would give him a serpent, instead of a fish? ¹²Or if he will ask for an egg, he would offer to him a scorpion? ¹³Therefore, if you, being evil, know how to give good things to your sons, how much more will your Father give, from heaven, a spirit of goodness to those who ask him?”

⁹And so I say to you: Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you.

²³And, in that day, you will not petition me for anything. Amen, amen, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in my name, he will give it to you. ²⁴Until now, you have not requested anything in my name. Ask, and you shall receive, so that your joy may be full.

¹⁴And this is the confidence which we have toward God: that no matter what we shall request, in accord with his will, he hears us.

²²and whatever we shall request of him, we shall receive from him. For we keep his commandments, and we do the things that are pleasing in his sight.

³You ask and you do not receive, because you ask badly, so that you may use it toward your own desires.
