18Give thanks in everything. For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for all of you.
28Thus, in receiving an immoveable kingdom, we have grace. So, through grace, let us be of service, by pleasing God with fear and reverence.
1Alleluia. Confess to the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy is forever. 2Let Israel now say: For he is good, for his mercy is forever. 3Let the house of Aaron now say: For his mercy is forever. 4Let those who fear the Lord now say: For his mercy is forever. 5In my tribulation, I called upon the Lord. And the Lord heeded me with generosity. 6The Lord is my helper. I will not fear what man can do to me.
7For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of virtue, and of love, and of self-restraint.
8For by grace, you have been saved through faith. And this is not of yourselves, for it is a gift of God.
7Most beloved, let us love one another. For love is of God. And everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
15And let the peace of Christ lift up your hearts. For in this peace, you have been called, as one body. And be thankful. 16Let the word of Christ live in you in abundance, with all wisdom, teaching and correcting one another, with psalms, hymns, and spiritual canticles, singing to God with the grace in your hearts. 17Let everything whatsoever that you do, whether in word or in deed, be done all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
1Therefore, as most beloved sons, be imitators of God. 2And walk in love, just as Christ also loved us and delivered himself for us, as an oblation and a sacrifice to God, with a fragrance of sweetness. 3But let not any kind of fornication, or impurity, or rapacity so much as be named among you, just as is worthy of the saints, 4nor any indecent, or foolish, or abusive talk, for this is without purpose; but instead, give thanks. 5For know and understand this: no one who is a fornicator, or lustful, or rapacious (for these are a kind of service to idols) holds an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6Let no one seduce you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God was sent upon the sons of unbelief.
6But without faith, it is impossible to please God. For whoever approaches God must believe that he exists, and that he rewards those who seek him.
2Pursue prayer. Be watchful in prayer with acts of thanksgiving.
