11But now I have written to you: do not associate with anyone who is called a brother and yet is a fornicator, or greedy, or a servant of idolatry, or a slanderer, or inebriated, or a robber. With such a one as this, do not even take food.

For I came not to call the just, but sinners.”

19The Son of man came eating and drinking; and they say, ‘Behold, a man who eats voraciously and who drinks wine, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.’ But wisdom is justified by her sons.”

5And when he had arrived at the place, Jesus looked up and saw him, and he said to him: “Zacchaeus, hurry down. For today, I should lodge in your house.” 6And hurrying, he came down, and he received him joyfully. 7And when they all saw this, they murmured, saying that he had turned aside to a sinful man.

1Now tax collectors and sinners were drawing near to him, so that they might listen to him. 2And the Pharisees and the scribes murmured, saying, “This one accepts sinners and eats with them.” 3And he told this parable to them, saying: 4“What man among you, who has one hundred sheep, and if he will have lost one of them, would not leave the ninety-nine in the desert and go after the one whom he had lost, until he finds it? 5And when he has found it, he places it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6And returning home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them: ‘Congratulate me! For I have found my sheep, which had been lost.’

But he was unable to do so, because of the crowd, for he was small in stature. 4And running ahead, he climbed up a sycamore tree, so that he might see him. For he was to pass near there. 5And when he had arrived at the place, Jesus looked up and saw him, and he said to him: “Zacchaeus, hurry down. For today, I should lodge in your house.” 6And hurrying, he came down, and he received him joyfully.

11But when Cephas had arrived at Antioch, I stood against him to his face, because he was blameworthy. 12For before certain ones arrived from James, he ate with the Gentiles. But when they had arrived, he drew apart and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. 13And the other Jews consented to his pretense, so that even Barnabas was led by them into that falseness. 14But when I had seen that they were not walking correctly, by the truth of the Gospel, I said to Cephas in front of everyone: “If you, while you are a Jew, are living like the Gentiles and not the Jews, how is it that you compel the Gentiles to keep the customs of the Jews?”

16And the scribes and the Pharisees, seeing that he ate with tax collectors and sinners, said to his disciples, “Why does your Teacher eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”
