¹⁰⁵Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my paths.

⁷How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger and the preacher of peace! Announcing good and preaching peace, they are saying to Zion, “Your God will reign!”

¹³and straighten the path of your feet, so that no one, being lame, may wander astray, but instead may be healed.

¹⁵and having feet which have been shod by the preparation of the Gospel of peace.

³⁴It is he who has perfected my feet, like the feet of deer, and who stations me upon the heights.

³And he heard my prayers and he led me out of the pit of misery and the quagmire. And he stationed my feet upon a rock, and he directed my steps.

⁴he rose up from the meal, and he set aside his vestments, and when he had received a towel, he wrapped it around himself. ⁵Next he put water into a shallow bowl, and he began to wash the feet of the disciples and to wipe them with the towel with which he was wrapped. ⁶And then he came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to him, “Lord, would you wash my feet?” ⁷Jesus responded and said to him: “What I am doing, you do not now understand. But you shall understand it afterward.” ⁸Peter said to him, “You shall never wash my feet!” Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you will have no place with me.” ⁹Simon Peter said to him, “Then Lord, not only my feet, but also my hands and my head!”

³²Who is God except the Lord? And who is strong except our God? ³³God, he has girded me with fortitude, and he has made my way perfect: ³⁴making my feet like the feet of the stag, and stationing me upon my exalted places, ³⁵teaching my hands to do battle, and making my arms like a bow of brass.

¹⁵And truly, in what way will they preach, unless they have been sent, just as it has been written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who evangelize peace, of those who evangelize what is good!”

²⁶Direct the path of your feet, and all your ways shall be secure.

³⁹And she had a sister, named Mary, who, while sitting beside the Lord’s feet, was listening to his word.

¹Blessed is the man who has not followed the counsel of the impious, and has not remained in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the chair of pestilence. ²But his will is with the law of the Lord, and he will meditate on his law, day and night. ³And he will be like a tree that has been planted beside running waters, which will provide its fruit in its time, and its leaf will not fall away, and all things whatsoever that he does will prosper. ⁴Not so the impious, not so. For they are like the dust that the wind casts along the face of the earth. ⁵Therefore, the impious will not prevail again in judgment, nor sinners in the council of the just. ⁶For the Lord knows the way of the just. And the path of the impious will pass away.

³⁷You have expanded my footsteps under me, and my tracks have not been weakened.
