11For I know the thoughts that I think over you, says the Lord: thoughts of peace and not of affliction, so that I may give you patience and an end.

33These things I have spoken to you, so that you may have peace in me. In the world, you will have difficulties. But have confidence: I have overcome the world.”

28And we know that, for those who love God, all things work together unto good, for those who, in accordance with his purpose, are called to be saints.

18You need not call to mind the past, nor consider the things of antiquity. 19Behold, I am accomplishing new things. And presently, they will spring forth. With certainty, you will know them. I will make a way in the desert, and rivers in an impassible place.

28And as for clothing, why are you anxious? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither work nor weave. 29But I say to you, that not even Solomon, in all his glory, was arrayed like one of these. 30So if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and cast into the oven tomorrow, how much more will he care for you, O little in faith? 31Therefore, do not choose to be anxious, saying: ‘What shall we eat, and what shall we drink, and with what shall we be clothed?’ 32For the Gentiles seek all these things. Yet your Father knows that you need all these things. 33Therefore, seek first the kingdom of God and his justice, and all these things shall be added to you as well.

10Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not turn away, for I am your God. I have strengthened you, and I have assisted you, and the right hand of my just one has upheld you.

25And so I say to you, do not be anxious about your life, as to what you will eat, nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26Consider the birds of the air, how they neither sow, nor reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of much greater value than they are? 27And which of you, by thinking, is able to add one cubit to his stature? 28And as for clothing, why are you anxious? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither work nor weave. 29But I say to you, that not even Solomon, in all his glory, was arrayed like one of these. 30So if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and cast into the oven tomorrow, how much more will he care for you, O little in faith?

15Be solicitous in the task of presenting yourself before God as a proven and unashamed worker who has handled the Word of Truth correctly.

8Remove, far from me, vanity and lying words. Give me neither begging, nor wealth. Apportion to me only the necessities of my life,

1There was a man in the land of Uz named Job, and he was a simple and honest man, fearing God and withdrawing from evil. 2And there had been born to him seven sons and three daughters. 3And his possession was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, along with five hundred pairs of oxen and five hundred she-donkeys, and also a very large family. And this man was great among all the people of the east. 4And his sons went and made a feast by houses, each one on his day. And sending, they called their three sisters to eat and drink with them. 5And when the days of their feasting had been completed, Job sent to them and sanctified them, and, getting up at dawn, he offered holocausts for each one. For he said, “Perhaps my sons have sinned and have not praised God in their hearts.” So Job did all the days. 6But on a certain day, when the sons of God came to attend in the presence of the Lord, Satan also arrived among them.
