19The Lord is near to those who are troubled in heart, and he will save the humble in spirit. 20Many are the afflictions of the just, but from them all the Lord will free them.

18For I consider that the sufferings of this time are not worthy to be compared with that future glory which shall be revealed in us.

13For you have possessed my temperament. You have supported me from the womb of my mother. 14I will confess to you, for you have been magnified terribly. Your works are miraculous, as my soul knows exceedingly well. 15My bone, which you have made in secret, has not been hidden from you, and my substance is in accord with the lower parts of the earth. 16Your eyes saw my imperfection, and all this shall be written in your book. Days will be formed, and no one shall be in them.

11For I know the thoughts that I think over you, says the Lord: thoughts of peace and not of affliction, so that I may give you patience and an end.

5In the same manner that you do not know the way of the spirit, nor the way that bones are joined together in the womb of a pregnant woman, so you do not know the works of God, who is the Maker of all.

5“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. And before you went forth from the womb, I sanctified you. And I made you a prophet to the nations.”

11when the children had not yet been born, and had not yet done anything good or bad (such that the purpose of God might be based on their choice),

10Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not turn away, for I am your God. I have strengthened you, and I have assisted you, and the right hand of my just one has upheld you.

6Be anxious about nothing. But in all things, with prayer and supplication, with acts of thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God. 7And so shall the peace of God, which exceeds all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

16Your eyes saw my imperfection, and all this shall be written in your book. Days will be formed, and no one shall be in them.

23My elect will not labor in vain, and they will not bring forth in disorder. For they are the offspring of the blessed of the Lord, and their posterity are with them.

21and he said, “Naked I departed from my mother’s womb, and naked I shall return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away. Just as it pleased the Lord, so has it been done. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

15Can a woman forget her infant, so as not to take pity on the child of her womb? But even if she would forget, still I shall never forget you.

8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways, says the Lord. 9For just as the heavens are exalted above the earth, so also are my ways exalted above your ways, and my thoughts above your thoughts.
