5Have confidence in the Lord with all your heart, and do not depend upon your own prudence. 6In all your ways, consider him, and he himself will direct your steps.

16Therefore, let us go forth with confidence toward the throne of grace, so that we may obtain mercy, and find grace, in a helpful time.

4Rejoice in the Lord always. Again, I say, rejoice. 5Let your modesty be known to all men. The Lord is near. 6Be anxious about nothing. But in all things, with prayer and supplication, with acts of thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God. 7And so shall the peace of God, which exceeds all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

3Hope in the Lord and do good, and dwell in the land, and so you shall be pastured with its riches. 4Delight in the Lord, and he will grant to you the petitions of your heart. 5Reveal your way to the Lord, and hope in him, and he will accomplish it.

9And he said to me: “My grace is sufficient for you. For virtue is perfected in weakness.” And so, willingly shall I glory in my weaknesses, so that the virtue of Christ may live within me.

12Most beloved, do not choose to sojourn in the passion which is a temptation to you, as if something new might happen to you.

8For by grace, you have been saved through faith. And this is not of yourselves, for it is a gift of God. 9And this is not of works, so that no one may glory.
