¹²And all those who willingly live the piety in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

⁹And this shall be in that day: I will seek to crush all the Gentiles that come against Jerusalem.

³¹During these events, Caleb, to restrain the murmuring of the people who rose up against Moses, said, “Let us ascend and possess the land, for we will be able to obtain it.”

¹⁷If you say in your heart, ‘These nations are more than I am, so how will I be able to destroy them?’ ¹⁸do not be apprehensive. Instead, recall what the Lord your God did to Pharaoh and to all the Egyptians:

²⁰For it was the sentence of the Lord that their hearts would be hardened, and that they would fight against Israel and fall, and that they did not deserve any clemency, and that they should perish, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

¹⁶Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to king Nebuchadnezzar, “It is not right for us to obey you in this matter. ¹⁷For behold our God, whom we worship, is able to rescue us from the oven of burning fire and to free us from your hands, O king. ¹⁸But even if he will not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not worship your gods, nor adore the gold statue, which you have raised up.” ¹⁹Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with fury and the appearance of his face was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and he commanded that the furnace should be heated to seven times its usual fire. ²⁰And he ordered the strongest men of his army to bind the feet of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the furnace of burning fire. ²¹And immediately these men were bound, and along with their coats, and their hats, and their shoes, and their garments, were cast into the middle of the furnace of burning fire.

¹⁷No object which has been formed to use against you will succeed. And every tongue that resists you in judgment, you shall judge. This is the inheritance of the servants of the Lord, and this is their justice with me, says the Lord.

¹“If you go out to battle against your enemies, and you see horsemen and chariots, and that the multitude of your adversary’s army is greater than your own, you shall not fear them. For the Lord your God, who led you away from the land of Egypt, is with you.

³“Let us shatter their chains and cast their yoke away from us.”

²⁹But Peter and the Apostles responded by saying: “It is necessary to obey God, more so than men.

²⁰Does the seat of iniquity adhere to you, you who contrive hardship within a commandment? ²¹They will hunt down the soul of the just, and they will condemn innocent blood.

¹²And the sixth Angel poured out his bowl upon that great river Euphrates. And its water dried up, so that a way might be prepared for the kings from the rising of the sun.

¹⁴And no wonder, for even Satan presents himself as if he were an Angel of light.

³⁶And so, be vigilant, praying at all times, so that you may be held worthy to escape from all these things, which are in the future, and to stand before the Son of man.”
