10so that you may walk in a manner worthy of God, being pleasing in all things, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God,

10For am I now persuading men, or God? Or, am I seeking to please men? If I still were pleasing men, then I would not be a servant of Christ.

4No man, acting as a soldier for God, entangles himself in worldly matters, so that he may be pleasing to him for whom he has proven himself.

6But without faith, it is impossible to please God. For whoever approaches God must believe that he exists, and that he rewards those who seek him.

6Be anxious about nothing. But in all things, with prayer and supplication, with acts of thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God.

1Blessed is the man who has not followed the counsel of the impious, and has not remained in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the chair of pestilence. 2But his will is with the law of the Lord, and he will meditate on his law, day and night. 3And he will be like a tree that has been planted beside running waters, which will provide its fruit in its time, and its leaf will not fall away, and all things whatsoever that he does will prosper.

1Therefore, as most beloved sons, be imitators of God. 2And walk in love, just as Christ also loved us and delivered himself for us, as an oblation and a sacrifice to God, with a fragrance of sweetness. 3But let not any kind of fornication, or impurity, or rapacity so much as be named among you, just as is worthy of the saints, 4nor any indecent, or foolish, or abusive talk, for this is without purpose; but instead, give thanks. 5For know and understand this: no one who is a fornicator, or lustful, or rapacious (for these are a kind of service to idols) holds an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6Let no one seduce you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God was sent upon the sons of unbelief.
