8Remember that you are to sanctify the day of the Sabbath. 9For six days, you will work and accomplish all your tasks. 10But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. You shall not do any work in it: you and your son and your daughter, your male servant and your female servant, your beast and the newcomer who is within your gates. 11For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and the sea, and all the things that are in them, and so he rested on the seventh day. For this reason, the Lord has blessed the day of the Sabbath and sanctified it.
13If you restrain your foot on the Sabbath, from doing your own will on my holy day, and if you call the Sabbath delightful, and the Holy of the Lord glorious, and if you glorify him, while you do not act according to your own ways, and your own will is not found, not even to speak a word, 14then you will find delight in the Lord, and I will take you up, above the heights of the earth, and I will nourish you with the inheritance of Jacob, your father. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
16Therefore, let no one judge you as concerns food or drink, or a particular feast day, or feast days of new moons, or of Sabbaths. 17For these are a shadow of the future, but the body is of Christ.

2And on the seventh day, God fulfilled his work, which he had made. And on the seventh day he rested from all his work, which he had accomplished. 3And he blessed the seventh day and sanctified it. For in it, he had ceased from all his work: the work whereby God created whatever he should make.
12Observe the day of the Sabbath, so that you may sanctify it, just as the Lord your God has instructed you. 13For six days, you shall labor and do all your work. 14The seventh is the day of the Sabbath, that is, the rest of the Lord your God. You shall not do any work in it, nor shall your son, nor daughter, nor man servant, nor woman servant, nor ox, nor donkey, nor any of your cattle, nor the sojourner who is within your gates, so that your men and woman servants may rest, just as you do. 15Remember that you also were servants in Egypt, and the Lord your God led you away from that place with a strong hand and an outstretched arm. Because of this, he has instructed you so that you would observe the Sabbath day.
27And he said to them: “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.
27And he said to them: “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. 28And so, the Son of man is Lord, even of the Sabbath.”

13“Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: See that you keep my Sabbath. For it is a sign between me and you among your generations, so that you may know that I am the Lord, who sanctifies you. 14Keep my Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Whoever will have polluted it, shall die a death. Whoever will have done any work in it, his soul shall perish from the midst of his people. 15For six days you shall do work. On the seventh day, it is the Sabbath, a rest sanctified by the Lord. All who will have done work on this day shall die. 16Let the sons of Israel keep the Sabbath, and let them celebrate it throughout their generations. It is an everlasting covenant 17between me and the sons of Israel, and a perpetual sign. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and in the seventh he ceased from work.”
23And he said to them: “This is what the Lord has spoken: Tomorrow, the rest day of the Sabbath, has been sanctified to the Lord. Whatever would be done, do it now. And whatever would be cooked, cook it now. Then anything that will have been left over, store it until morning.” 24And they did just as Moses had instructed, and it did not putrefy, nor were there any worms found in it. 25And Moses said: “Eat it today, because it is the Sabbath of the Lord. Today it will not be found in the field. 26Gather for six days. But on the seventh day, it is the Sabbath of the Lord, for which reason it will not be found.” 27And the seventh day arrived. And some of the people, going out to collect it, did not find it. 28Then the Lord said to Moses: “How long will you be unwilling to keep my commandments and my law?

Therefore, come and be cured on those, and not on the day of the Sabbath.” 15Then the Lord said to him in response: “You hypocrites! Does not each one of you, on the Sabbath, release his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it to water?
