shame

⁷Instead of your double confusion and shame, they will praise their portion. Because of this, they will possess double in their land. Everlasting joy will be for them.

⁷The Lord God is my helper. Therefore, I have not been confounded. Therefore, I have set my face like a very hard rock, and I know that I will not be confounded.

⁵I sought the Lord, and he heeded me, and he carried me away from all my tribulations. ⁶Approach him and be enlightened, and your faces will not be confounded.

⁹If we confess our sins, then he is faithful and just, so as to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all iniquity.

²Let us gaze upon Jesus, as the Author and the completion of our faith, who, having joy laid out before him, endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and who now sits at the right hand of the throne of God.

¹¹For Scripture says: “All those who believe in him shall not be confounded.”

¹Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who are not walking according to the flesh.

¹⁸Do not let me be confounded, Lord, for I have called upon you. Let the impious be ashamed and be drawn down into Hell.

⁴Do not be afraid! For you will not be confounded, and you will not blush. And you will not be put to shame, because you shall forget the confusion of your youth, and you shall no longer remember the disgrace of your widowhood.

³⁸For whoever has been ashamed of me and of my words, among this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man also will be ashamed of him, when he will arrive in the glory of his Father, with the holy Angels.”

⁴But you, Lord, are my supporter, my glory, and the one who raises up my head.

¹³Temptation should not take hold of you, except what is human. For God is faithful, and he will not permit you to be tempted beyond your ability. Instead, he will effect his Providence, even during temptation, so that you may be able to bear it.

¹Unto the end. A Psalm of David. To you, Lord, I have lifted up my soul. ²In you, my God, I trust. Let me not be put to shame. ³And do not let my enemies laugh at me. For all who remain with you will not be confounded. ⁴May all those who act unjustly over nothing be confounded. O Lord, demonstrate your ways to me, and teach me your paths. ⁵Direct me in your truth, and teach me. For you are God, my Savior, and I remain with you all day long. ⁶O Lord, remember your compassion and your mercies, which are from ages past.

¹⁰And he said, “I heard your voice in Paradise, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and so I hid myself.”

¹⁹Behold, I will execute all who have afflicted you in that time, and I will save those who are lame, and I will gather together her who had been cast out. And I will place them in praise and in renown, in all the land where they had been put to shame,
