8But if anyone has no concern for his own, and especially for those of his own household, he has denied the faith, and he is worse than an unbeliever.

15And she has risen in the night, and given a prey to her household, and provisions to her maids. 16She has considered a field and bought it. From the fruit of her own hands, she has planted a vineyard. 17She has wrapped her waist with fortitude, and she has strengthened her arm.

12Honor your father and your mother, so that you may have a long life upon the land, which the Lord your God will give to you.

This is the first commandment with a promise: 3so that it may be well with you, and so that you may have a long life upon the earth. 4And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but educate them with the discipline and correction of the Lord.

4but a man who leads his own house well, having children who are subordinate with all chastity. 5For if a man does not know how to lead his own house, how will he take care of the Church of God?

19For I know that he will instruct his sons, and his household after him, to keep to the way of the Lord, and to act with judgment and justice, so that, for the sake of Abraham, the Lord may bring about all the things that he has spoken to him.”
