4Charity is patient, is kind. Charity does not envy, does not act wrongly, is not inflated. 5Charity is not ambitious, does not seek for itself, is not provoked to anger, devises no evil. 6Charity does not rejoice over iniquity, but rejoices in truth. 7Charity suffers all, believes all, hopes all, endures all. 8Charity is never torn away, even if prophecies pass away, or languages cease, or knowledge is destroyed.
8But, before all things, have a constant mutual charity among yourselves. For love covers a multitude of sins.
1I testify before God, and before Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead through his return and his kingdom: 2that you should preach the word urgently, in season and out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke, with all patience and doctrine. 3For there shall be a time when they will not endure sound doctrine, but instead, according to their own desires, they will gather to themselves teachers, with itching ears, 4and certainly, they will turn their hearing away from the truth, and they will be turned toward fables. 5But as for you, truly, be vigilant, laboring in all things. Do the work of an Evangelist, fulfilling your ministry. Show self-restraint. 6For I am already being worn away, and the time of my dissolution presses close.
11Now every discipline, in the present time, does not seem a gladness, of course, but a grief. But afterwards, it will repay a most peaceful fruit of justice to those who become trained in it.
5For each one shall carry his own burden.
12Therefore, all things whatsoever that you wish that men would do to you, do so also to them. For this is the law and the prophets.

1If I were to speak in the language of men, or of Angels, yet not have charity, I would be like a clanging bell or a crashing cymbal. 2And if I have prophecy, and learn every mystery, and obtain all knowledge, and possess all faith, so that I could move mountains, yet not have charity, then I am nothing. 3And if I distribute all my goods in order to feed the poor, and if I hand over my body to be burned, yet not have charity, it offers me nothing. 4Charity is patient, is kind. 1See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we would be called, and would become, the sons of God. Because of this, the world does not know us, for it did not know him.
8You should owe nothing to anyone, except so as to love one another. For whoever loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
