13Temptation should not take hold of you, except what is human. For God is faithful, and he will not permit you to be tempted beyond your ability. Instead, he will effect his Providence, even during temptation, so that you may be able to bear it.

11For I know the thoughts that I think over you, says the Lord: thoughts of peace and not of affliction, so that I may give you patience and an end.

6Act manfully and be strengthened. Do not be afraid, and do not dread at the sight of them. For the Lord your God himself is your commander, and he will neither dismiss nor abandon you.”

29Let no evil words proceed from your mouth, but only what is good, toward the edification of faith, so as to bestow grace upon those who listen.

28Come to me, all you who labor and have been burdened, and I will refresh you. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is sweet and my burden is light.”

5Have confidence in the Lord with all your heart, and do not depend upon your own prudence. 6In all your ways, consider him, and he himself will direct your steps.

2My brothers, when you have fallen into various trials, consider everything a joy, 3knowing that the proving of your faith exercises patience, 4and patience brings a work to perfection, so that you may be perfect and whole, deficient in nothing.

4For, even if I should walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will fear no evils. For you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they have given me consolation.

6Be anxious about nothing. But in all things, with prayer and supplication, with acts of thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God. 7And so shall the peace of God, which exceeds all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
