13For you, brothers, have been called to liberty. Only you must not make liberty into an occasion for the flesh, but instead, serve one another through the charity of the Spirit.

31Therefore, Jesus said to those Jews who believed in him: “If you will abide in my word, you will truly be my disciples. 32And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” 33They answered him: “We are the offspring of Abraham, and we have never been a slave to anyone. How can you say, ‘You shall be set free?’ ” 34Jesus answered them: “Amen, amen, I say to you, that everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin. 35Now the slave does not abide in the house for eternity. Yet the Son does abide in eternity. 36Therefore, if the Son has set you free, then you will truly be free.

18in order to open their eyes, so that they may be converted from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive the remission of sins and a place among the saints, through the faith that is in me.’

38Therefore, let it be known to you, noble brothers, that through him is announced to you remission from sins and from everything by which you were not able to be justified in the law of Moses. 39In him, all who believe are justified.

1Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who are not walking according to the flesh. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has freed me from the law of sin and death. 3For though this was impossible under the law, because it was weakened by the flesh, God sent his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and because of sin, in order to condemn sin in the flesh, 4so that the justification of the law might be fulfilled in us. For we are not walking according to the flesh, but according to the spirit.

8For by grace, you have been saved through faith. And this is not of yourselves, for it is a gift of God. 9And this is not of works, so that no one may glory.
