⁵⁸And so, my beloved brothers, be steadfast and unmovable, abounding always in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not useless in the Lord.

⁹And so, let us not be deficient in doing good. For in due time, we shall reap without fail.

¹³No servant is able to serve two lords. For either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will cling to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”

⁷In all things, present yourself as an example of good works: in doctrine, with integrity, with seriousness, ⁸with sound words, irreproachably, so that he who is an opponent may dread that he has nothing evil to say about us.

³⁷But let your word ‘Yes’ mean ‘Yes,’ and ‘No’ mean ‘No.’ For anything beyond that is of evil.

²¹You cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons. You cannot be partakers of the table of the Lord, and partakers of the table of demons.

⁸Jesus Christ, yesterday and today; Jesus Christ forever.

²⁷But as for you, let the Anointing that you have received from him abide in you. And so, you have no need of anyone to teach you. For his Anointing teaches you about everything, and it is the truth, and it is not a lie. And just as his Anointing has taught you, abide in him.

¹⁷And he is before all, and in him all things continue.

¹⁰Now when Daniel learned of this, namely, that the law had been established, he entered his house, and, opening the windows in his upper room towards Jerusalem, he knelt down three times a day, and he adored and gave thanks before his God, as he had been accustomed to do previously.

¹⁵I know your works: that you are neither cold, nor hot. I wish that you were either cold or hot. ¹⁶But because you are lukewarm and are neither cold nor hot, I will begin to vomit you out of my mouth.

²⁴No one is able to serve two masters. For either he will have hatred for the one, and love the other, or he will persevere with the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

⁴and patience brings a work to perfection, so that you may be perfect and whole, deficient in nothing.

³And we can be sure that we have known him by this: if we observe his commandments. ⁴Whoever claims that he knows him, and yet does not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. ⁵But whoever keeps his word, truly in him the charity of God is perfected. And by this we know that we are in him. ⁶Whoever declares himself to remain in him, ought to walk just as he himself walked. ⁷Most beloved, I am not writing to you a new commandment, but the old commandment, which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the Word, which you have heard. ⁸Then too, I am writing to you a new commandment, which is the Truth in him and in you. For the darkness has passed away, and the true Light is now shining.

²³Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope, without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.

²²Do you have faith? It belongs to you, so hold it before God. Blessed is he who does not judge himself in that by which he is tested.
