31Let all bitterness and anger and indignation and outcry and blasphemy be taken away from you, along with all malice. 32And be kind and merciful to one another, forgiving one another, just as God has forgiven you in Christ.

9The Lord is not delaying his promise, as some imagine, but he does act patiently for your sake, not wanting anyone to perish, but wanting all to be turned back to penance.

24No one is able to serve two masters. For either he will have hatred for the one, and love the other, or he will persevere with the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.

16For God so loved the world that he gave his only-begotten Son, so that all who believe in him may not perish, but may have eternal life.
