19Or do you not know that your bodies are the Temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? 20For you have been bought at a great price. Glorify and carry God in your body.
1And so, I beg you, brothers, by the mercy of God, that you offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, with the subservience of your mind.
11Turn your face away from my sins, and erase all my iniquities. 12Create a clean heart in me, O God. And renew an upright spirit within my inmost being.

8And finally, may you all be of one mind: compassionate, loving brotherhood, merciful, meek, humble, 9not repaying evil with evil, nor slander with slander, but, to the contrary, repaying with blessings. For to this you have been called, so that you may possess the inheritance of a blessing. 10For whoever wants to love life and to see good days should restrain his tongue from evil, and his lips, so that they utter no deceit. 11Let him turn away from evil, and do good. Let him seek peace, and pursue it. 12For the eyes of the Lord are upon the just, and his ears are with their prayers, but the countenance of the Lord is upon those who do evil. 13And who is it who can harm you, if you are zealous in what is good?
12Let no one despise your youth, but be an example among the faithful in word, in behavior, in charity, in faith, in chastity.
11Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what kind of people ought you to be? In behavior and in piety, be holy, 12waiting for, and hurrying toward, the advent of the day of the Lord, by which the burning heavens shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt from the heat of the fire. 13Yet truly, in accord with his promises, we are looking forward to the new heavens and the new earth, in which justice lives. 14Therefore, most beloved, while awaiting these things, be diligent, so that you may be found to be immaculate and unassailable before him, in peace.

And he feasted splendidly every day. 20And there was a certain beggar, named Lazarus, who lay at his gate, covered with sores, 21wanting to be filled with the crumbs which were falling from the wealthy man’s table. But no one gave it to him. And even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22Then it happened that the beggar died, and he was carried by the Angels into the bosom of Abraham. Now the wealthy man also died, and he was entombed in Hell. 23Then lifting up his eyes, while he was in torments, he saw Abraham far away, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24And crying out, he said: ‘Father Abraham, take pity on me and send Lazarus, so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water to refresh my tongue. For I am tortured in this fire.’
13Whoever hides his crimes will not be guided. But whoever will have confessed and abandoned them shall overtake mercy.
1Therefore, if you have risen together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
15Be contemplative, lest anyone lack the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness spring up and impede you, and by it, many might be defiled,

22So, let us draw near with a true heart, in the fullness of faith, having hearts cleansed from an evil conscience, and bodies absolved with clean water.
