4These things have not been hidden from their sons in any generation: declaring the praises of the Lord, and his virtues, and the wonders that he has done.

5You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength. 6And these words, which I instruct to you this day, shall be in your heart. 7And you shall explain them to your sons. And you shall meditate upon them sitting in your house, and walking on a journey, when lying down and when rising up.

6For I am already being worn away, and the time of my dissolution presses close. 7I have fought the good fight. I have completed the course. I have preserved the faith. 8As for the remainder, a crown of justice has been reserved for me, one which the Lord, the just judge, will render to me in that day, and not only to me, but also to those who look forward to his return. Hurry to return to me soon.

20Instead, store up for yourselves treasures in heaven: where neither rust nor moth consumes, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21For where your treasure is, there also is your heart.

2and by the things which you have heard from me through many witnesses. These things encourage faithful men, who shall then be suitable to teach others also.

1Alleluia. Of the return of Haggai and Zachariah. Blessed is the man who fears the Lord. He will prefer his commandments exceedingly. 2His offspring will be powerful on the earth. The generation of the upright will be blessed. 3Glory and wealth will be in his house, and his justice shall remain from age to age.

1I testify before God, and before Jesus Christ, who shall judge the living and the dead through his return and his kingdom: 2that you should preach the word urgently, in season and out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke, with all patience and doctrine. 3For there shall be a time when they will not endure sound doctrine, but instead, according to their own desires, they will gather to themselves teachers, with itching ears, 4and certainly, they will turn their hearing away from the truth, and they will be turned toward fables. 5But as for you, truly, be vigilant, laboring in all things. Do the work of an Evangelist, fulfilling your ministry. Show self-restraint. 6For I am already being worn away, and the time of my dissolution presses close.

17But the mercy of the Lord is from eternity, and even unto eternity, upon those who fear him. And his justice is with the sons of the sons,

21And he said to the sons of Israel: “When your sons will question their fathers, tomorrow, and they will say to them, ‘What do these stones mean to you?’ 22you shall teach them, and you shall say: ‘Israel passed over this Jordan, through the dry channel.’

20But I am not praying for them only, but also for those who through their word shall believe in me. 21So may they all be one. Just as you, Father, are in me, and I am in you, so also may they be one in us: so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22And the glory that you have given to me, I have given to them, so that they may be one, just as we also are one. 23I am in them, and you are in me. So may they be perfected as one. And may the world know that you have sent me and that you have loved them, just as you have also loved me. 24Father, I will that where I am, those whom you have given to me may also be with me, so that they may see my glory which you have given to me. For you loved me before the founding of the world. 25Father most just, the world has not known you. But I have known you. And these have known that you sent me.

12For this reason, I will always begin to admonish you about these things, even though, certainly, you know them and are confirmed in the present truth. 13But I consider it just, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up with admonishments. 14For it is certain that the laying to rest of this, my tabernacle, is approaching swiftly, just as our Lord Jesus Christ has also indicated to me. 15Therefore, I will present a work for you to have, so that, frequently after my passing, you may call to mind these things.

11All the people who were at the gate, along with the eldest, answered, “We are witnesses. May the Lord make this woman, who enters into your house, like Rachel, and Leah, who built up the house of Israel, so that she may be an example of virtue in Ephrathah, and so that her name may be honored in Bethlehem.

5You shall not adore them, nor shall you worship them. I am the Lord your God: strong, zealous, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the sons to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6and showing mercy to thousands of those who love me and keep my precepts.

6And these words, which I instruct to you this day, shall be in your heart. 7And you shall explain them to your sons. And you shall meditate upon them sitting in your house, and walking on a journey, when lying down and when rising up. 8And you shall bind them like a sign on your hand, and they shall be placed and shall move between your eyes. 9And you shall write them at the threshold and on the doors of your house.
