¹⁶Let the word of Christ live in you in abundance, with all wisdom, teaching and correcting one another, with psalms, hymns, and spiritual canticles, singing to God with the grace in your hearts.

²And do not choose to be conformed to this age, but instead choose to be reformed in the newness of your mind, so that you may demonstrate what is the will of God: what is good, and what is well-pleasing, and what is perfect.

¹⁹speaking among yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual canticles, singing and reciting psalms to the Lord in your hearts,

¹⁷Therefore, faith is from hearing, and hearing is through the Word of Christ.

⁵The heart of the wise is a place of mourning, and the heart of the foolish is a place of rejoicing. ⁶It is better to be corrected by a wise man, than to be deceived by the false praise of the foolish.

⁸Concerning the rest, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is chaste, whatever is just, whatever is holy, whatever is worthy to be loved, whatever is of good repute, if there is any virtue, if there is any praiseworthy discipline: meditate on these. ⁹All the things that you have learned and accepted and heard and seen in me, do these. And so shall the God of peace be with you. ¹⁰Now I rejoice in the Lord exceedingly, because finally, after some time, your feelings for me have flourished again, just as you formerly felt. For you had been preoccupied. ¹¹I am not saying this as if out of need. For I have learned that, in whatever state I am, it is sufficient. ¹²I know how to be humbled, and I know how to abound. I am prepared for anything, anywhere: either to be full or to be hungry, either to have abundance or to endure scarcity.

¹³Is any of you sad? Let him pray. Is he even-tempered? Let him sing psalms.

²⁴God is Spirit. And so, those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

¹²“I will announce your name to my brothers. In the midst of the Church, I will praise you.”

¹⁹Open the gates of justice to me. I will enter them, and I will confess to the Lord. ²⁰This is the gate of the Lord. The just will enter by it. ²¹I will confess to you because you have heard me. And you have become my salvation. ²²The stone which the builders have rejected, this has become the head of the corner. ²³By the Lord has this been done, and it is a wonder before our eyes. ²⁴This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us exult and rejoice in it.
