9If we confess our sins, then he is faithful and just, so as to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all iniquity.

Wounds and bruises and swelling sores: these are not bandaged, nor treated with medicine, nor soothed with oil.

13For this reason, gird the waist of your mind, be sober, and hope perfectly in the grace that is offered to you in the revelation of Jesus Christ.
