²A time to be born, and a time to die. A time to plant, and a time to pull up what was planted.

³And not only that, but we also find glory in tribulation, knowing that tribulation exercises patience, ⁴and patience leads to proving, yet truly proving leads to hope,

¹⁴Bless those who are persecuting you: bless, and do not curse. ¹⁵Rejoice with those who are rejoicing. Weep with those who are weeping. ¹⁶Be of the same mind toward one another: not savoring what is exalted, but consenting in humility. Do not choose to seem wise to yourself. ¹⁷Render to no one harm for harm. Provide good things, not only in the sight of God, but also in the sight of all men. ¹⁸If it is possible, in so far as you are able, be at peace with all men. ¹⁹Do not defend yourselves, dearest ones. Instead, step aside from wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is mine. I shall give retribution, says the Lord.”

¹The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, in order to make known to his servants the things that must soon occur, and which he signified by sending his Angel to his servant John;

¹⁶Do you not know that you are the Temple of God, and that the Spirit of God lives within you? ¹⁷But if anyone violates the Temple of God, God will destroy him. For the Temple of God is holy, and you are that Temple.

¹⁹Or do you not know that your bodies are the Temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? ²⁰For you have been bought at a great price. Glorify and carry God in your body.

⁶Whoever will shed human blood, his blood will be poured out. For man was indeed made to the image of God.

³And not only that, but we also find glory in tribulation, knowing that tribulation exercises patience, ⁴and patience leads to proving, yet truly proving leads to hope, ⁵but hope is not unfounded, because the love of God is poured forth in our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

²Carry one another’s burdens, and so shall you fulfill the law of Christ.

³And not only that, but we also find glory in tribulation, knowing that tribulation exercises patience,

⁸It is not in the power of a man to prohibit the spirit, nor does he have authority over the day of death, nor is he permitted to rest when war breaks out, and neither will impiety save the impious.
