31Do not turn aside to astrologers, nor consult with soothsayers, so as to be polluted through them. I am the Lord your God.
19Now the works of the flesh are manifest; they are: fornication, lust, homosexuality, self-indulgence, 20the serving of idols, drug use, hostility, contentiousness, jealousy, wrath, quarrels, dissensions, divisions, 21envy, murder, inebriation, carousing, and similar things. About these things, I continue to preach to you, as I have preached to you: that those who act in this way shall not obtain the kingdom of God.
24You shall not adore their gods, nor worship them. You shall not do their works, but you shall destroy them and break apart their statues.
24God is Spirit. And so, those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”
1Now concerning those things that are sacrificed to idols: we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but charity builds up. 2But if anyone considers himself to know anything, he does not yet know in the way that he ought to know. 3For if anyone loves God, he is known by him. 4But as to the foods that are immolated to idols, we know that an idol in the world is nothing, and that no one is God, except One. 5For although there are things that are called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, (if one even considers there to be many gods and many lords) 6yet we know that there is only one God, the Father, from whom all things are, and in whom we are, and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and by whom we are.
29that you abstain from things immolated to idols, and from blood, and from what has been suffocated, and from fornication. You will do well to keep yourselves from these things. Farewell.”

6He establishes his ascension into heaven, and he has founded his bundle on the earth. He calls the waters of the ocean, and pours them over the face of the earth. The Lord is his name. 7Sons of Israel, are you not like the sons of the Ethiopians to me, says the Lord? Did I not cause Israel to rise up out of the land of Egypt, and the Philistines out of Cappadocia, and the Syrians out of Cyrene?
1And climbing into a boat, he crossed the sea, and he arrived at his own city. 2And behold, they brought to him a paralytic, lying on a bed. And Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Be strengthened in faith, son; your sins are forgiven you.” 3And behold, some of the scribes said within themselves, “He is blaspheming.” 4And when Jesus had perceived their thoughts, he said: “Why do you think such evil in your hearts? 5Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Rise up and walk?’ 6But, so that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins,” he then said to the paralytic, “Rise up, take up your bed, and go into your house.”
3You shall not act according to the custom of the land of Egypt, in which you have lived; nor shall you behave according to the habit of the region of Canaan, into which I will lead you; neither shall you walk in their ordinances.
