13For you have possessed my temperament. You have supported me from the womb of my mother. 14I will confess to you, for you have been magnified terribly. Your works are miraculous, as my soul knows exceedingly well. 15My bone, which you have made in secret, has not been hidden from you, and my substance is in accord with the lower parts of the earth.

11For I know the thoughts that I think over you, says the Lord: thoughts of peace and not of affliction, so that I may give you patience and an end.

6Are not five sparrows sold for two small coins? And yet not one of these is forgotten in the sight of God. 7But even the very hairs of your head have all been numbered. Therefore, do not be afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows.

13Temptation should not take hold of you, except what is human. For God is faithful, and he will not permit you to be tempted beyond your ability. Instead, he will effect his Providence, even during temptation, so that you may be able to bear it.

2And do not choose to be conformed to this age, but instead choose to be reformed in the newness of your mind, so that you may demonstrate what is the will of God: what is good, and what is well-pleasing, and what is perfect.

5Let your behavior be without avarice; be content with what you are offered. For he himself has said, “I will not abandon you, and I will not neglect you.”

12Therefore, clothe yourselves like the elect of God: holy and beloved, with hearts of mercy, kindness, humility, modesty, and patience. 13Support one another, and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive one another. For just as the Lord has forgiven you, so also must you do. 14And above all these things have charity, which is the bond of perfection.

5And he saved us, not by works of justice that we had done, but, in accord with his mercy, by the washing of regeneration and by the renovation of the Holy Spirit,

28Come to me, all you who labor and have been burdened, and I will refresh you. 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is sweet and my burden is light.”

8Concerning the rest, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is chaste, whatever is just, whatever is holy, whatever is worthy to be loved, whatever is of good repute, if there is any virtue, if there is any praiseworthy discipline: meditate on these. 9All the things that you have learned and accepted and heard and seen in me, do these. And so shall the God of peace be with you.
