separation from god

¹Behold, the hand of the Lord has not been shortened, so that it cannot save, and his ear has not been blocked, so that it cannot hear. ²But your iniquities have made a division between you and your God, and your sins have concealed his face from you, so that he would not hear.

⁹These shall be given the eternal punishment of destruction, apart from the face of the Lord and apart from the glory of his virtue,

²³For all have sinned and all are in need of the glory of God.

⁶We have all gone astray like sheep; each one has turned aside to his own way. And the Lord has placed all our iniquity upon him.

²³For the wages of sin is death. But the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

³Jesus responded and said to him, “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless one has been reborn anew, he is not able to see the kingdom of God.”

³⁸For I am certain that neither death, nor life, nor Angels, nor Principalities, nor Powers, nor the present things, nor the future things, nor strength, ³⁹nor the heights, nor the depths, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

³⁶Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. But whoever is unbelieving toward the Son shall not see life; instead the wrath of God remains upon him.”

¹²Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into this world, and through sin, death; so also death was transferred to all men, to all who have sinned.
