¹Alleluia. Praise the Lord in his holy places. Praise him in the firmament of his power. ²Praise him for his virtues. Praise him according to the multitude of his greatness. ³Praise him with the sound of the trumpet. Praise him with psaltery and stringed instrument. ⁴Praise him with timbrel and choir. Praise him with strings and organ. ⁵Praise him with sweet-sounding cymbals. Praise him with cymbals of jubilation. ⁶Let every spirit praise the Lord. Alleluia.

²³But the hour is coming, and it is now, when true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth. For the Father also seeks such persons who may worship him.

²⁵not deserting our assembly, as some are accustomed to do, but consoling one another, and even more so as you see that the day is approaching.

¹A Psalm of David. Exult in the Lord, you just ones; together praise the upright. ²Confess to the Lord with stringed instruments; sing psalms to him with the psaltery, the instrument of ten strings. ³Sing to him a new song. Sing psalms to him skillfully, with loud exclamation. ⁴For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his works are in faith.

⁴²Now they were persevering in the doctrine of the Apostles, and in the communion of the breaking of the bread, and in the prayers.

¹And so, I beg you, brothers, by the mercy of God, that you offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, with the subservience of your mind.

²¹to him be glory, in the Church and in Christ Jesus, throughout every generation, forever and ever. Amen.

¹A Psalm of Confession. ²Shout joyfully to God, all the earth. Serve the Lord with rejoicing. Enter into his sight in exultation. ³Know that the Lord himself is God. He made us, and we ourselves did not. We are his people and the sheep of his pasture. ⁴Enter his gates with confession, his courts with hymns, and acknowledge him. Praise his name. ⁵For the Lord is sweet, his mercy is in eternity, and his truth is from generation to generation.

¹⁵And so, brothers, see to it that you walk cautiously, not like the foolish, ¹⁶but like the wise: atoning for this age, because this is an evil time. ¹⁷For this reason, do not choose to be imprudent. Instead, understand what is the will of God. ¹⁸And do not choose to be inebriated by wine, for this is self-indulgence. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, ¹⁹speaking among yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual canticles, singing and reciting psalms to the Lord in your hearts, ²⁰giving thanks always for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God the Father.

⁴Enter his gates with confession, his courts with hymns, and acknowledge him. Praise his name.

¹And so, I beg you, brothers, by the mercy of God, that you offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, with the subservience of your mind. ²And do not choose to be conformed to this age, but instead choose to be reformed in the newness of your mind, so that you may demonstrate what is the will of God: what is good, and what is well-pleasing, and what is perfect. ³For I say, through the grace that has been given to me, to all who are among you: Taste no more than it is necessary to taste, but taste unto sobriety and just as God has distributed a share of the faith to each one. ⁴For just as, within one body, we have many parts, though all the parts do not have the same role, ⁵so also we, being many, are one body in Christ, and each one is a part, the one of the other. ⁶And we each have different gifts, according to the grace that has been given to us: whether prophecy, in agreement with the reasonableness of faith;

²⁰For wherever two or three are gathered in my name, there am I, in their midst.”

²⁶What is next, brothers? When you gather together, each one of you may have a psalm, or a doctrine, or a revelation, or a language, or an interpretation, but let everything be done for edification.

³⁸Now it happened that, while they were traveling, he entered into a certain town. And a certain woman, named Martha, received him into her home. ³⁹And she had a sister, named Mary, who, while sitting beside the Lord’s feet, was listening to his word. ⁴⁰Now Martha was continually busying herself with serving. And she stood still and said: “Lord, is it not a concern to you that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore, speak to her, so that she may help me.” ⁴¹And the Lord responded by saying to her: “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled over many things. ⁴²And yet only one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the best portion, and it shall not be taken away from her.”

¹Therefore, if you have risen together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. ²Consider the things that are above, not the things that are upon the earth. ³For you have died, and so your life is hidden with Christ in God. ⁴When Christ, your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. ⁵Therefore, mortify your body, while it is upon the earth. For because of fornication, impurity, lust, evil desires, and avarice, which are a kind of service to idols, ⁶the wrath of God has overwhelmed the sons of unbelief.
