¹²Let no one despise your youth, but be an example among the faithful in word, in behavior, in charity, in faith, in chastity.

⁷And the Lord said to me: “Do not choose to say, ‘I am a boy.’ For you shall go forth to everyone to whom I will send you. And you shall speak all that I will command you.

⁹By what does an adolescent correct his way? By keeping to your words.

¹Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the time of affliction arrives and the years draw near, about which you will say, “These do not please me.”

²²So then, flee from the desires of your youth, yet truly, pursue justice, faith, hope, charity, and peace, along with those who call upon the Lord from a pure heart.

²And do not choose to be conformed to this age, but instead choose to be reformed in the newness of your mind, so that you may demonstrate what is the will of God: what is good, and what is well-pleasing, and what is perfect.

²⁹The joy of youths is their strength. And the dignity of old men is their grey hairs.

²⁰The young man said to him: “All these I have kept from my childhood. What is still lacking for me?” ²¹Jesus said to him: “If you are willing to be perfect, go, sell what you have, and give to the poor, and then you will have treasure in heaven. And come, follow me.” ²²And when the young man had heard this word, he went away sad, for he had many possessions.

⁹So then, rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart remain in what is good during the days of your youth. And walk in the ways of your heart, and with the perception of your eyes. And know that, concerning all these things, God will bring you to judgment.

⁶The proverb is: A youth is close to his way; even when he is old, he will not withdraw from it.

¹³Everything is possible in him who has strengthened me.

⁵Similarly, young persons, be subject to the elders. And infuse all humility among one another, for God resists the arrogant, but to the humble he gives grace.

¹⁴I am writing to you, little children, because you have known the Father. I am writing to you, young men, because you are strong, and the Word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

²⁷TETH. It is good for a man, when he has carried the yoke from his youth.

¹My son, do not forget my law, but let your heart guard my precepts. ²For they shall set before you length of days, and years of life, and peace. ³Let not mercy and truth abandon you: encircle them around your throat, and inscribe them on the tablets of your heart. ⁴And so shall you discover grace and good discipline, in the sight of God and men.

¹¹When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I understood like a child, I thought like a child. But when I became a man, I put aside the things of a child.

⁷Therefore, be subject to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
