16Let the word of Christ live in you in abundance, with all wisdom, teaching and correcting one another, with psalms, hymns, and spiritual canticles, singing to God with the grace in your hearts.

19speaking among yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual canticles, singing and reciting psalms to the Lord in your hearts,

4You adulterers! Do you not know that the friendship of this world is hostile to God? Therefore, whoever has chosen to be a friend of this world has been made into an enemy of God.

1Alleluia. Praise the Lord in his holy places. Praise him in the firmament of his power. 2Praise him for his virtues. Praise him according to the multitude of his greatness. 3Praise him with the sound of the trumpet. Praise him with psaltery and stringed instrument. 4Praise him with timbrel and choir. Praise him with strings and organ. 5Praise him with sweet-sounding cymbals. Praise him with cymbals of jubilation. 6Let every spirit praise the Lord. Alleluia.

2And do not choose to be conformed to this age, but instead choose to be reformed in the newness of your mind, so that you may demonstrate what is the will of God: what is good, and what is well-pleasing, and what is perfect.

15And he said to them: “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the sight of men. But God knows your hearts. For what is lifted up by men is an abomination in the sight of God.

14But solid food is for those who are mature, for those who, by practice, have sharpened their mind, so as to discern good from evil.

15Do not choose to love the world, nor the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the charity of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world is the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the arrogance of a life which is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17And the world is passing away, with its desire. But whoever does the will of God abides unto eternity. 18Little sons, it is the last hour. And, as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have arrived. By this, we know that it is the last hour. 19They went out from among us, but they were not of us. For, if they had been of us, certainly they would have remained with us. But in this way, it is made manifest that none of them are of us. 20Yet you have the anointing of the Holy One, and you know everything.
