²And do not choose to be conformed to this age, but instead choose to be reformed in the newness of your mind, so that you may demonstrate what is the will of God: what is good, and what is well-pleasing, and what is perfect.

³¹Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever else you may do, do everything for the glory of God.

⁸Concerning the rest, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is chaste, whatever is just, whatever is holy, whatever is worthy to be loved, whatever is of good repute, if there is any virtue, if there is any praiseworthy discipline: meditate on these.

¹²All is lawful to me, but not all is expedient. All is lawful to me, but I will not be driven back by the authority of anyone.

²⁴And he said to them: “Consider what you hear. With whatever measure you have measured out, it shall be measured back to you, and more shall be added to you.

¹But accept those who are weak in faith, without disputing about ideas. ²For one person believes that he may eat all things, but if another is weak, let him eat plants. ³He who eats should not despise him who does not eat. And he who does not eat should not judge him who eats. For God has accepted him. ⁴Who are you to judge the servant of another? He stands or falls by his own Lord. But he shall stand. For God is able to make him stand. ⁵For one person discerns one age from the next. But another discerns unto every age. Let each one increase according to his own mind. ⁶He who understands the age, understands for the Lord. And he who eats, eats for the Lord; for he gives thanks to God. And he who does not eat, does not eat for the Lord, and he gives thanks to God.

¹Therefore, as most beloved sons, be imitators of God. ²And walk in love, just as Christ also loved us and delivered himself for us, as an oblation and a sacrifice to God, with a fragrance of sweetness. ³But let not any kind of fornication, or impurity, or rapacity so much as be named among you, just as is worthy of the saints, ⁴nor any indecent, or foolish, or abusive talk, for this is without purpose; but instead, give thanks. ⁵For know and understand this: no one who is a fornicator, or lustful, or rapacious (for these are a kind of service to idols) holds an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. ⁶Let no one seduce you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God was sent upon the sons of unbelief.

¹Unto the end. A Psalm of David. The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They were corrupted, and they have become abominable in their studies. There is no one who does good; there is not even one. ²The Lord has looked down from heaven upon the sons of men, to see if there were any who were considering or seeking God. ³They have all gone astray; together they have become useless. There is no one who does good; there is not even one. Their throat is an open sepulcher. With their tongues, they have been acting deceitfully; the venom of asps is under their lips. Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood. Grief and unhappiness are in their ways; and the way of peace, they have not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes. ⁴Will they never learn: all those who work iniquity, who devour my people like a meal of bread? ⁵They have not called upon the Lord. There, they have trembled in fear, where there was no fear. ⁶For the Lord is with the just generation. You have confounded the counsel of the needy because the Lord is his hope.

¹Alleluia. Praise the Lord in his holy places. Praise him in the firmament of his power. ²Praise him for his virtues. Praise him according to the multitude of his greatness. ³Praise him with the sound of the trumpet. Praise him with psaltery and stringed instrument. ⁴Praise him with timbrel and choir. Praise him with strings and organ. ⁵Praise him with sweet-sounding cymbals. Praise him with cymbals of jubilation. ⁶Let every spirit praise the Lord. Alleluia.

²³Preserve your heart with all watchfulness, for life proceeds from this.

¹²Whoever despises his friend is destitute in heart. But the prudent man will remain silent.
