St. Carlo Acutis
An Italian teenager who loved video games, code, and the Eucharist in equal measure — and built a website cataloguing the world's Eucharistic miracles before dying of leukemia at fifteen. The Church's first millennial saint.

Born in London
Carlo was born on May 3 to Italian parents working in London. The family returned to Milan a few months later.
- 1998
First Communion at seven
Granted Communion early because of his unusual love for the sacrament, he went to Mass nearly every day for the rest of his life.
- c. 2002
Begins the Eucharistic miracles website
Self-taught at the computer, the eleven-year-old set out to catalogue every approved Eucharistic miracle in the world, dragging his parents to shrines to photograph them.
- 2003
Confirmation in Milan
He was confirmed on May 24 at his parish, Santa Maria Segreta.
- 2006
Diagnosed with leukemia
In early October what seemed like flu turned out to be acute leukemia. He offered his suffering for the pope and the Church.
- 2006
Dies at fifteen
Carlo died on October 12, telling his mother he was happy to go because he had not wasted a minute on what did not please God.
- 2007
Buried in Assisi
At his own wish his body was moved to Assisi, the city of St. Francis whom he loved.
- 2020
Beatified
After a healing in Brazil was recognized as a miracle, Carlo was beatified in Assisi on October 10.
- 2025
Canonized
Pope Leo XIV declared him a saint on September 7, alongside Pier Giorgio Frassati — the Church's first millennial saint.
